Should DRUGS BE LEGAL

Why are law makers surprised when they hear about legalizing drugs when they know for sure that state and local governments are losing millions of dollars if not billions that could help build roads,bridges,schools,help rising health care costs and could creat thousands of american jobs.I could understand the moral and ethical questioning of this issue,but lets be real here,whatever government does to stop it people would still do it.The drug cartails in the border are a serious treat to our national security,we have a lot in our hands to name a few iraq,afghanistan,north korea and iran that are true national security matters,so lets not add more troubel other than the ones we have.We should act now,because we are losing dollars and we really are in need of it,especially in the recession we are in.
